Each vaginal capsule contains:
200 mg miconazole nitrate.
Auxiliary components:
Liquid paraffin, petroleum jelly.
Properties:
Antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol of the cell membrane. Active against dermatophytes, yeasts and some other fungi. Shows antimicrobial activity against grampositive microorganisms. Does not change the composition of microflora and vaginal pH. Quickly relieves itching that usually accompanies fungal infections.
Indications:
Locally – vaginal and vulvovaginal candidiasis, superinfection caused by gram-positive microorganisms; fungal balanitis.
Mode of application:
1 vaginal capsule 200 mg is inserted deep into the vagina at night. After the symptoms
disappear, treatment is continued for another 3-6 days.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (Il-Ill trimesters for the use of vaginal forms), hepatic and / or renal failure, children under 12 years of age (for vaginal forms).
With care: diabetes mellitus, microcirculation disorders.
Precautions:
It is necessary to carry out the simultaneous treatment of both sexual partners.
During pregnancy, the use of the drug is possible only in the first trimester.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions. The use of suppositories in excessive quantities – skin irritation, itching, burning sensation (usually disappears when therapy is discontinued).
