Antiseptic solution Cyteal contains a combination of hexamidine, chlorhexidine digluconate and chlorcresol. It is a weak foaming antiseptic solution that is used to disinfect the skin and in case of fungal (bacterial) infections of the mucous membranes. Indicated for dermatological, gynecological and surgical cases.

Can be used pure or diluted.

Can be used for rinsing or cleansing, as well as for vaginal douching.

MODE OF APPLICATION:

Used neat or diluted to 1/10.

Dermatology: Use pure Cyteal solution for cleansing followed by rinsing, or dilute to 1/10 with water.

Gynecology: Use a clear solution of Cyteal followed by a rinse or dilute to 1/10 with water as a vaginal douche.

Surgery: Cyteal solution is used diluted up to 1/1 with water.

INDICATIONS FOR USE:

First of all, bacterial damage to the skin and mucous membranes.

Diseases of the skin and mucous membranes with a high probability of infection.

Cleansing of skin lesions and mucous membranes, with bacterial infections.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

This solution must not be used:

for cleaning the eyes or ear canal (danger of poisoning in case of perforation of the eardrum)

for disinfection of medical and surgical equipment

ATTENTION:

Avoid prolonged use of this medication, especially in children, on mucous membranes and on extensive or deeply injured surfaces without consulting a doctor.

This antiseptic is not suitable for disinfecting scissors, razors and other items.

An open vial should not be stored for too long.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

The combination with other antiseptics is not recommended, as their action may be neutralized.

PREGNANCY:

The effect of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not well known. The assessment of the possible risk associated with its use is individual: ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.

BREAST-FEEDING:

This antiseptic should not be applied to the nipples without consulting a doctor.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

Itching, tingling, burning, dry skin (especially with prolonged use).

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

Allergic reaction:

Allergy risk (body reaction to the drug), common to chlorhexidine, up to anaphylactic shock. Anaphylactic shock may be accompanied by a drop in blood pressure, swelling of the throat, difficulty breathing and loss of consciousness).
Due to the presence of chlorhexidine, allergic eczema may occur upon contact with the product.

Do not use this medicine on a large area of ​​skin, especially burnt or baby skin, without consulting a doctor, due to the risk of exposure through the general bloodstream.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES:

Wash your hands thoroughly after using the solution.

Combination with other antiseptics should be avoided, as their action may be neutralized.

Do not use at the same time as regular soap.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your physician before using this solution.

As a precautionary measure, it is recommended to avoid the use of Cital during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Do not store diluted solution.
