Composition:

Each 4 g sachet contains:

Active Ingredients:

Colchicine 0.5 mg

Piperazine citrate (as anhydrous substance) 165 mg

Khellin 1.75 mg

Description:

Urivin-N is an effervescent formulation containing three active substances with complementary actions in the management of urolithiasis and acute gout. Khellin facilitates urinary tract health and stone expulsion, colchicine reduces inflammation in gout, and piperazine helps dissolve uric acid. The granules are white, lemon-flavored, and intended for oral dissolution in water.

Indications for Use:

Management of urolithiasis

Treatment of acute gout

Prophylaxis of gout attacks during initiation of therapy with allopurinol and uricosuric drugs

Dosage and Method of Administration:

For prophylaxis: 1 sachet 2–3 times daily

For acute gout: 2 sachets initially, followed by 1 sachet every 4 hours daily

Dissolve each sachet in a glass of water before use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any component

Serious gastrointestinal, renal, hepatic, or cardiac disorders

Blood dyscrasias

Pregnancy and lactation

Precautions:

Colchicine has a narrow therapeutic index; avoid overdose

Use with caution in elderly or debilitated patients

Monitor for gastrointestinal symptoms or signs of toxicity

Caution in hepatic/renal/cardiac impairment

This product contains sodium: consider in sodium-restricted patients

Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation

Side Effects:

Khellin: Elevated liver enzymes, jaundice, GI symptoms, dizziness, insomnia

Colchicine: GI distress, rash, renal/hepatic toxicity, bone marrow suppression (rare), neuropathy

Piperazine: Nausea, headache, rashes, neurotoxicity in overdose

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:

Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Storage Conditions:

Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Packaging:

Carton box containing 10 sachets (each 4 g) of effervescent granules in sachets with an insert leaflet.
