Recoxitro 90 mg 30 tablets
The medication is based on etoricoxib and is used for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain syndromes. It has pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
Composition (per 1 tablet):
• Etoricoxib – 90 mg
Pharmacological properties:
Etoricoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, a key enzyme in the synthesis of prostaglandins that cause inflammation, pain, and swelling.
Due to its selective action on COX-2 (with minimal effect on COX-1), etoricoxib reduces pain and inflammation while lowering the risk of gastroduodenal complications common with traditional NSAIDs.
Indications for use:
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Acute pain, including postoperative and dental pain
• Gouty arthritis (acute attack).
Dosage and administration:
• Osteoarthritis: 60 mg once daily
• Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: 90 mg once daily
• Acute dental pain: up to 90 mg once daily, short-term use
• Acute gouty arthritis: 120 mg once daily, maximum 8 days.
The tablet should be taken regardless of meals. Taking it with food may delay the onset of action.
