Lornoxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with pronounced analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. It is used to relieve pain and treat inflammatory conditions of various origins, especially in the musculoskeletal system.

Composition:

• Lornoxicam – 4 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

• Inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins — substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever
• Has a rapid analgesic effect
• Well tolerated during short-term use
• Does not accumulate in the body.

Indications for use:

• Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Back pain, lower back pain (lumbago, sciatica)
• Injuries, sprains, bruises
• Postoperative and dental pain
• Dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain).

Dosage and administration:

Typical doses for adults over 18 years:
For pain treatment: 8–16 mg per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses.
For arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis:
The recommended total daily dose is 12 mg per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses.
The maintenance dose should not exceed 16 mg per day.

In renal or hepatic insufficiency: the daily dose is reduced to 12 mg per day.

• Tablets should be taken before meals with plenty of water
• The duration of treatment depends on the clinical situation and indications.
