Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Ibuprofen 400 mg.
Inactive ingredients::
Microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Properties:
The drug belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.
The mechanism of action of ibuprofen is due to the inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins – mediators of pain, inflammation and hyperthermic reaction.
Indications:
-Symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation;
-Acute arthritis (including exacerbation of gout);
-Chronic arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis);
-Ankylosing spondylitis and other inflammatory diseases of the spine;
-Arthroses and spondyloarthroses;
-Post-traumatic pain;
-Moderate to moderate pain syndrome;
-Fever.
Dosage and administration:
-Adults and children aged 12 years and older:
Patients with body weight more than 40 kg are recommended to take 1 tablet (400 mg) every 6 hours, but not more than 3 pieces per day.
-The elderly and patients with impaired liver function do not require dose reduction.
-The drug is intended for short-term administration. If symptoms such as fever, pain persist for 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Side effects:
Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, decreased appetite , bronchospasm, decreased hearing, tinnitus, visual disturbances, headache, insomnia, dizziness, increased blood pressure, heart failure, nephrotic syndrome, cystitis, allergic reactions, anemia, thrombocytopenia.
Contraindications:
-Excessive sensitivity to the components of the drug.
-Amnestic data on an attack of bronchial obstruction, rhinitis, urticaria after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
-Erosive ulcerative diseases of the gastrointestinal tract
-Age younger than 15 years
-Severe liver and kidney dysfunction.
-Pregnancy.
-Gastrointestinal bleeding and intracranial hemorrhages
-Hemophilia and other blood coagulation disorders.
Warnings and precautions:
-The shortest possible short course and at the lowest effective dose necessary to relieve symptoms is recommended. If systemic use for more than 10 days is necessary, a physician should be consulted.
-Monitoring of peripheral blood, liver and kidney status is necessary during long-term treatment.
-Because of severe purulent complications it is recommended to avoid the use of ibuprofen in chickenpox. -Ibuprofen affects ovulation, impairing female fertility (reversible after treatment withdrawal).
-Store out of reach of children.
