Composition:

• Active ingredient:

Celecoxib — 200 mg

Eurocox 200 mg is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to the class of selective COX-2 inhibitors. It is used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in various joint and musculoskeletal disorders.

Pharmacological properties:

• Selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation and pain
• Does not affect COX-1, which lowers the risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to traditional NSAIDs
• Has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.

Indications for use:

• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew's disease)
• Acute pain
• Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)
• Gouty arthritis (acute form).

Dosage and administration (adults):

• For osteoarthritis: usually 200 mg once daily, or 100 mg twice daily
• For rheumatoid arthritis: 100 to 200 mg twice daily
• For ankylosing spondylitis: 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily
• For acute pain or dysmenorrhea: an initial dose of 400 mg, followed by 200 mg on the first day if needed.

Maximum daily dose: 400 mg.

Capsules can be taken with or without food, with water.
