Elidel cream 1% 15 g

Elidel

Composition:

One 1 g of cream contains 10 mg of pinecrolimus

Excipients:

sodium hydroxide, anhydrous citric acid, benzyl alcohol, sodium cetostearyl sulfate, mono- and diglycerides, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol,

oleyl alcohol, medium-chain triglycerides, purified water.

Properties:

Pimecrolimus is a derivative of ascomycin macrolactam, has an anti-inflammatory effect. Selectively inhibits the production and release of cytokines and mediators from T-lymphocytes and mast cells.

Indications:

Atopic dermatitis (eczema).

The drug is indicated for short-term and long-term use in adults, adolescents and children (aged 3 months).

Method of application:

Treatment should be started at the first signs of the disease to prevent its rapid development of exacerbation.

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area 2 times a day and gently rub until completely absorbed.

The cream can be applied to the skin of any part of the body, including the head, face, neck, as well as to areas of diaper rash.

The cream should be applied 2 times a day until the symptoms disappear completely.

Contraindications:

-Children under 3 months (since the safety and effectiveness of

-use of Elidel cream in children under 3 months has not been studied);

-application of Elidel cream to areas of the skin affected by acute viral, bacterial or fungal infection;

-hypersensitivity to pimecrolimus or any components of the drug.

Precautions:

When using Elidel cream, patients are advised to minimize artificial or natural sun exposure to the skin or completely avoid ultraviolet radiation. The possible effect of using the drug on skin lesions caused by ultraviolet radiation is unknown. Side effects:

Very common: burning at the site of application of the cream.

Common: local reactions (irritation, itching and redness of the skin), skin infections (folliculitis).

Uncommon: suppuration, worsening of the disease, simple herpes, dermatitis caused by the herpes simplex virus (herpetic eczema), molluscum contagiosum; local reactions such as rash, pain, paresthesia, peeling, dryness, swelling, skin papillomas, furuncles.

In a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees.
