About the brand

E Mox 125 mg/5 mg Suspension 80 ml

Compisition:

• Active substance:

Amoxicillin trihydrate — equivalent to 125 mg amoxicillin in 5 ml of ready suspension.

E‑Mox 125 mg/5 ml is an oral amoxicillin-based suspension, used primarily in children to treat various bacterial infections. It has a broad spectrum of activity against many susceptible microorganisms.

Pharmacological properties:

How the drug works:

• Kills bacteria:

Amoxicillin disrupts the construction of the bacterial cell wall, resulting in bacterial death.

• Rapidly absorbed:

After oral administration, the drug is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, even when taken with food.

• Remains active in the body for a sufficient duration:

Therapeutic blood concentration persists for several hours, allowing for dosing 2–3 times a day.

• Excreted via the kidneys:

The main route of excretion is renal; therefore, the drug is especially effective against urinary tract infections.

Indications for use:

• Infections of the upper respiratory tract (tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis)
• Infections of the lower respiratory tract (bronchitis, pneumonia)
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
