Linezolid 600 mg

Auxiliary components:

corn starch – 66 mg, microcrystalline cellulose 97 mg, povidone K30 – 14 mg, croscarmellose sodium – 17 mg, magnesium stearate – 8 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide – 4 mg, calcium hydrogen phosphate – 40 mg, sodium lauryl sulfate – 4 mg.

Properties:

Antimicrobial agent, belongs to the class of oxazolidinones. The mechanism of action is due to the selective inhibition of protein synthesis in bacteria. By binding to bacterial ribosomes, linezolid prevents the formation of a functional 70S initiation complex, which is a component of the translation process in protein synthesis.

Indications:

Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by susceptible to anaerobic and aerobic gram-positive microorganisms (including infections accompanied by bacteremia): community-acquired pneumonia; hospital pneumonia; infections of the skin and soft tissues; infections caused by Enterococcus spp. (including strains of Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium resistant to vancomycin). Infections caused by gramnegative microorganisms, confirmed or suspected (as part of combination therapy).

Method of administration and dosage:

The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly observe the compliance of the used dosage form of a particular drug with indications for use and dosage regimen.

On average, adults and children over 12 years old take 600 mg every 12 hours, the duration of treatment is from 10 to 28 days

Children under 11 years of age take 10 mg / kg every 8 hours, the duration of treatment is 10 to 28 days.

Hypersensitivity to linezolid.

Precautions:

With the development of diarrhea while using linezolid, the risk of developing pseudomembranous colitis of varying severity should be considered.

In the course of treatment, it is necessary to carry out a clinical blood test in patients with an increased risk of bleeding, a history of myelosuppression, as well as with the simultaneous use of drugs that reduce the level of hemoglobin, the number of platelets or their functional properties, as well as in patients receiving linezolid for more than 2 weeks.

Side effects:

On the part of the digestive system: often (>

1%) – taste perversion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain (including spastic ones), flatulence, changes in total bilirubin,

ALT, AST, ALP.

From the hematopoietic system: often (> 1%) reversible anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, pancytopenia.

Others: often (> 1%) – headache, candidiasis; rarely – cases of peripheral neuropathy and neuropathy of the optic nerve when used for more than 28 days (the relationship between the use of linezolid and the development of neuropathy has not been proven).

Adverse reactions are independent of dose and usually do not require discontinuation of treatment.
