Averocoxib 90 mg 20 tablets

Composition: 

Each film-coated tablet contains Etoricoxib 90 mg as the active ingredient. 

Product Description: 

Averocoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor belonging to the NSAID class.
It reduces prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain and inflammation, while sparing COX-1, making it gentler on the stomach compared to traditional NSAIDs.

Indications for Use:

Relief of symptoms in osteoarthritis.
Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
Management of ankylosing spondylitis.
Relief of pain and inflammation in acute gout attacks.
Short-term treatment of moderate pain after dental surgery (≥16 years).

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Oral administration, with or without food.
Osteoarthritis: 30–60 mg once daily (may increase to 90 mg if needed).
Rheumatoid arthritis: 60 mg once daily (up to 90 mg).
Ankylosing spondylitis: 60 mg once daily (up to 90 mg).
Acute gout: 120 mg once daily for short duration.
Dental pain: 90 mg once daily for short duration.
Always use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration to minimize cardiovascular risk.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or excipients.
Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
Severe hepatic impairment.
Uncontrolled hypertension, ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, or congestive heart failure.

Precautions:

Monitor blood pressure regularly.
Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular risk factors.
Avoid concomitant use with other NSAIDs.
Adjust dose in mild hepatic impairment.

Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:

Common: headache, dizziness, hypertension, edema, dyspepsia, nausea.
Less common: palpitations, arrhythmia, gastritis, mouth ulcers.
Rare: severe allergic reactions, liver function abnormalities, serious skin reactions.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Pregnancy: Contraindicated, especially in the third trimester due to risk of fetal harm.
Lactation: Not recommended; unknown if excreted in breast milk.
