Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Paracetamol – 500 mg
Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride – 25 mg
Description
Awadist PLUS combines paracetamol, which effectively relieves pain and fever, and diphenhydramine hydrochloride, which helps with sleep disturbances. The drug is intended for the relief of pain associated with insomnia, helping improve sleep quality and quickly reduce pain symptoms.
Indications for Use
The product is indicated for the temporary relief of pain associated with sleep disturbances, such as:
-Headache
-Migraine
-Back pain
-Rheumatic and muscle pain
-Arthritis
-Toothache
-Neuralgia
-Menstrual pain
-Fever
Dose and Method of Administration
For oral use.
Adults and children over 16 years:
Take 2 tablets 20 minutes before bedtime.
Maximum daily dose: 2 tablets (1000 mg paracetamol and 50 mg diphenhydramine) within 24 hours.
Do not take the product for more than 7 consecutive days without consulting a doctor.
Do not use with other products containing paracetamol or antihistamines.
For maximum effect, it is recommended to take the tablets in the evening before bed.
Other paracetamol-containing products may be taken for daytime pain relief but at a reduced maximum dose.
Do not use with other antihistamine-containing products, including topical products (see warnings and precautions).
Contraindications
-Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, diphenhydramine hydrochloride, or any of the excipients.
-Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency.
-Porphyria.
-Not recommended for children under 16 years unless prescribed by a doctor.
Precautions
-Paracetamol can cause liver damage in case of overdose. Do not combine with other products containing paracetamol.
-Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease, as well as those with glaucoma, prostatitis, asthma, and other respiratory conditions.
-Avoid simultaneous use with alcohol, as diphenhydramine enhances the sedative effect of alcohol.
-Do not take if the headache persists for an extended period or has an unknown cause.
-The product may cause drowsiness, so it is not recommended to drive or operate machinery during treatment.
-Use with caution in patients with epilepsy, myasthenia, closed-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, urinary retention, asthma, bronchitis, and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
-Do not take for more than 7 days unless there is a favorable benefit-risk ratio. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
Side Effects
The incidence of side effects with paracetamol is generally low but may include:
Blood and lymphatic system disorders: thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis
Allergic reactions (including anaphylaxis, skin rashes, angioedema)
Rarely: bronchospasm, liver dysfunction
Diphenhydramine:
This antihistamine can cause side effects, especially when used for a long time or in elderly people:
General reactions: fatigue, headache
Allergic reactions: skin rash, urticaria
Psychiatric disorders: confusion, paradoxical excitation (especially in elderly patients)
Nervous system disorders: sedative effect, dizziness, dry mouth
