Composition:

Each tablet contains:

sultamicillin 750 mg

Auxiliary components:

Microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K30, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, talc, titanium dioxide, ethyl cellulose, hypromellose, dimethicone.

Properties:

Broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. It is a double ester of ampicillin (semi-synthetic penicillin) and sulbactam (beta-lactamase inhibitor). It has a bactericidal effect. Sultamicillin is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, incl. producing β-lactamases.

Indications:

Bacterial infections of various localization caused by sensitive microflora:

-infections of the respiratory system (including pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, pleural empyema);

– infections of ENT organs (including sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media);

-infections of the urinary tract and genitals (pyelonephritis, pyelitis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, endometritis, gonorrhea);

-infections of the biliary tract (cholecystitis, cholangitis);

-infections of the skin and soft tissues (erysipelas, impetigo, secondarily infected dermatitis);

-infections of the gastrointestinal tract (dysentery, salmonellosis, salmonella carriers);

-infections of bones and joints.

Method of administration and dosage:

Inside. Adults – 375-750 mg 2 times a day. With uncomplicated gonorrhea – 2.25 g (6 tablets of 375 mg), once. To increase the duration of the circulation of sultamicillin in plasma, it is possible to simultaneously prescribe drugs that block tubular secretion.

Children weighing less than 30 kg – 25-50 mg / kg / day in 2 divided doses; children weighing more than 30 kg are prescribed in doses recommended for adults.

The course of treatment is 5-14 days (if necessary, it can be extended). After normalization of body temperature and the disappearance of other pathological symptoms, treatment is continued for another 48 hours. For any infection caused by hemolytic streptococcus, the course of treatment is at least 10 days (to prevent the development of acute rheumatic fever or glomerulonephritis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, infectious mononucleosis, lactation.

Precautions: Hepatic and / or renal failure, pregnancy.

Precautionary measures:

In patients with hypersensitivity to penicillins, cross-allergic reactions with cephalosporin antibiotics are possible.

During the course of treatment, it is necessary to monitor the state of the function of the hematopoietic organs, liver and kidneys.

Side effects:

From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, diarrhea, increased activity of “hepatic” transaminases; pseudomembranous enterocolitis.

From the side of hematopoiesis and hemostasis system: anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.

From the nervous system: drowsiness, malaise, headache. Laboratory indicators: azotemia, increased urea concentration, hypercreatininemia.

Allergic reactions: urticaria, skin hyperemia, angioedema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, fever, arthralgia, eosinophilia, anaphylactic shock.

Others: with long-term treatment – superinfection caused by microorganisms resistant to the drug (candidiasis).

Storage method:
