Composition:

Each tablet contains:
Levofloxacin – 500 mg.

Product Description:

Tavanic is a broad‑spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic.
It is effective against a wide range of Gram‑positive and Gram‑negative bacteria.
The film‑coated tablet ensures convenient oral administration and reliable absorption.

Indications for Use:

• Treatment of bacterial infections, including:
• Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis).
• Urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis).
• Skin and soft tissue infections.
• Prostatitis.
• Other infections caused by susceptible microorganisms.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

1. Adults: 500 mg once or twice daily, depending on infection type and severity.
2. Duration of treatment varies (typically 7–14 days). 
3. Dosage must be adjusted in renal impairment. 
4. Always follow physician’s prescription.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other quinolones, or excipients.
• Epilepsy.
• History of tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolone use.
• Children and adolescents (growth phase).

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, CNS disorders, or predisposition to seizures.
Avoid excessive sun exposure (risk of photosensitivity).

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):

Common: nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness.
Uncommon: insomnia, rash, tendon pain.
Rare: tendon rupture, severe allergic reactions, QT prolongation.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
