Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Tadalafil - 5 mg.
Excipients:
Lactose monohydrate, Microcrystalline cellulose PH102, Hydroxypropyl cellulose, Croscarmellose sodium, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Magnesium stearate
Description:
Selective PDE5 inhibitor for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia in adult men.
Promotes smooth muscle relaxation in the corpus cavernosum, prostate, and bladder during sexual stimulation, improving erection and reducing BPH symptoms.
Indications for Use:
- Erectile dysfunction in adult males
- Symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia in adult males.
Dosage and Method of Administration:
- Erectile dysfunction:
10 mg before anticipated sexual activity, maximum once daily.
If inadequate response, may increase to 20 mg.
For frequent use, 5 mg once daily may be considered;
Dose can be reduced to 2.5 mg if needed.
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia:
5 mg once daily at approximately the same time each day.
Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to tadalafil or excipients
- Concomitant use with organic nitrates
- Severe cardiovascular disease where sexual activity is inadvisable
- Recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina, uncontrolled arrhythmias, hypotension, uncontrolled hypertension, recent stroke
- Vision loss in one eye due to NAION
- Co-administration with guanylate cyclase stimulators.
Precautions:
- Cardiovascular assessment before treatment
- Monitor for vision or hearing changes; discontinue if they occur
- Use with caution in penile deformities or risk of priapism
- Caution with CYP3A4 inhibitors
- Do not combine with other erectile dysfunction treatments
- Contains lactose; contraindicated in lactose intolerance
- Not for use in women; avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side Effects:
- Most common: headache, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia
- Other possible reactions: flushing, nasal congestion, extremity pain, hypersensitivity, dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, tachycardia, rash, prolonged erections
- Rare: angioedema, stroke, facial edema, NAION, retinal vascular occlusion, sudden hearing loss, myocardial infarction, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, priapism.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Not indicated for use in women
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Storage Conditions:
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light.
Keep out of reach of children.
Packaging:
