Sensodyne Fluoride Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth 100 ml
Composition:
Sodium fluoride — 0.315 %, potassium nitrate — 5.00 %, plus auxiliary components that ensure foaming, cleaning, and formula stability.
Product description:
- The toothpaste is formulated to reduce dentin hypersensitivity and provide comprehensive oral protection.
- The formula combines the action of potassium nitrate, which reduces the response of nerve endings in the dentin, and sodium fluoride, which strengthens the enamel and increases its resistance to acid attack.
- The toothpaste effectively removes plaque, supports gum health, and provides a fresh sensation thanks to its mint flavor.
- Regular use twice a day helps achieve 24/7 protection against sensitivity and reduces discomfort when exposed to cold, hot, acidic, or sweet foods.
Properties of the Cosmetic Product:
- Reduction of tooth sensitivity — potassium nitrate penetrates the dentinal tubules and reduces the excitability of nerve fibers, thereby decreasing the pain response to external stimuli.
- Cavity protection — sodium fluoride promotes enamel remineralization, strengthens its structure, and helps prevent the development of carious processes.
- Plaque removal — abrasive and surfactant components effectively remove soft plaque without damaging the enamel or increasing sensitivity.
- Support for gum health — the formula is designed with sensitive teeth in mind and does not contain aggressive components that irritate soft tissues.
- Long‑lasting effect — regular use provides sustained 24/7 sensitivity protection.
- Fresh breath — the mint flavor gives a feeling of cleanliness and freshness after brushing.
Indications for Use:
- Increased tooth sensitivity to thermal, chemical, and mechanical stimuli (cold, hot, acidic, sweet foods, contact with a toothbrush).
- Need for caries prevention and enamel strengthening through fluoride intake.
- Presence of exposed tooth necks or enamel erosions accompanied by discomfort.
- Daily oral hygiene for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age with sensitive teeth.
- Maintaining tooth cleanliness and fresh breath in individuals prone to rapid plaque formation.
Method of Application:
- Apply a strip of toothpaste at least 2.5 cm long to a soft‑bristled toothbrush.
- Brush your teeth thoroughly, paying attention to all surfaces and especially sensitive areas, for at least 1 minute.
- Perform the procedure twice a day — in the morning and evening, but no more than 3 times a day or as recommended by your dentist.
- Try to minimize swallowing the toothpaste.
- After brushing, spit out the remaining paste without rinsing your mouth with large amounts of water — this allows the fluoride to remain on the tooth surface longer and exert its protective effect.
Side Effects / Precautions:
- Not intended for children under 12 years of age unless advised by a dentist.
- Tooth sensitivity may be a symptom of a serious condition (caries, pulpitis, periodontitis, enamel cracks) — a dental examination is recommended before starting use.
- If pain persists or worsens despite regular use of the toothpaste, consult a doctor.
- If signs of irritation of the oral mucosa appear (redness, swelling, burning), discontinue use and consult a specialist.
- Avoid swallowing the toothpaste; if a large amount is accidentally ingested, seek medical help.
- Do not use as the sole remedy for acute dental conditions — the toothpaste is intended for routine care, not for treatment.
Storage conditions:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Close the tube tightly after each use to protect the contents from moisture and drying out.
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Do not allow the toothpaste to freeze.
Packaging:
A cardboard box containing an aluminum or laminated tube with a volume of 100 ml.
