Composition:
Fluoxetine - 20 mg in one tablet.

Pharmacological properties:
Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
Increases the level of serotonin in the synaptic cleft, improving the transmission of nerve impulses.
It is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks and other mental conditions.

Indications for use:
Depression (including major depression)
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Panic disorders with or without agoraphobia
Bulimia nervosa
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder

Method of administration:
The dosage of fluoxetine depends on the patient's age and the condition being treated. Fluoxetine dosage for adults:

Depression:
Initial dose: 20 mg once daily.
Maintenance dose: The dose can be gradually increased over several weeks by 20 mg/day.
Maximum dose: 80 mg/day.
When using extended-release tablets, use a dose of 90 mg once a week.
Treatment-resistant depression:
Initial dose: 20 mg once daily with 5 mg olanzapine in the evening.
Maintenance dose: The fluoxetine dose can be gradually increased over several weeks by 20 mg/day up to 50 mg, and the olanzapine dose can be increased by 5-20 mg doses.

Bipolar depression:
Initial dose: 20 mg fluoxetine once daily with 5 mg olanzapine in the evening.
Maintenance dose: Fluoxetine may be gradually increased over several weeks by 20 mg/day up to 50 mg, and olanzapine may be increased by 5–12.5 mg.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder:
Initial dose: 20 mg once daily.
Maintenance dose: The dose may be gradually increased over several weeks by 20 mg/day.

Maximum dose: 80 mg/day.
When using extended-release tablets, use 90 mg once weekly.
Eating disorders: 60 mg once daily.

Panic disorders:
Initial dose: 10 mg once daily for one week, then increase to 20 mg once daily.
Maintenance dose: The dose may be gradually increased over several weeks by 20 mg/day.
Maximum dose: 60 mg/day.

Premenstrual dysphoric disorder:
Continuous use: 20 mg initially; then the dose can be gradually increased, not exceeding 80 mg/day.
Premenstrual use only: 20 mg once daily, 14 days before menstruation, for the first full day of menstruation. Repeat the dose with each menstrual cycle.

Fluoxetine dosage for children:
Depression in children 8 years and older:
Initial dose: 10–20 mg once daily. A lower initial dose is recommended for children with low birth weight.
Maintenance dose: If the 10 mg dose is used, the dose can be increased to 20 mg once daily after one week.
Bipolar depression in children 10 years and older:
Initial dose: 20 mg fluoxetine once daily with 2.5 mg olanzapine in the evening.
Maintenance dose: The fluoxetine dose can be gradually increased over several weeks by 20 mg/day up to 50 mg, and the olanzapine dose can be increased by 5–12.5 mg in doses.
OCD in children 7 years and older:
Initial dose: 10 mg once daily.
Maintenance dose: The dose can be gradually increased after two weeks to a dose of 20 mg/day.
Maximum dose: The maximum dose depends on the child's weight:
For adolescents and relatively large children: 20–60 mg/day.
Low-weight children: 20–30 mg/day
