Properties:
The maca plant, also called Lepidium meyenii or “Peruvian ginseng,” is a cruciferous vegetable related to broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage.
It contains fiber, vitamins, minerals, macamides, macaridine, alkaloids, and glucosinolates.
It acts as a natural stimulant but doesn’t actually contain anything like caffeine. It is naturally rich in vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and iron, which contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and help to reduce tiredness and fatigue, improve mood and vitality, memory and libido. Research shows that maca root is particularly effective in naturally increasing men’s fertility by improving sperm quality and quantity.
