Composition:

Active ingredient:
Meloxicam 7.5 mg per tablet.

Product Description:

Medexaflam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class.
It provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects.
Commonly prescribed for arthritis and musculoskeletal pain, it reduces inflammation and relieves symptoms without curing the underlying disease.

Indications for Use:

Osteoarthritis (pain and inflammation).
Rheumatoid arthritis.
Ankylosing spondylitis.
Other musculoskeletal inflammatory conditions as directed by a physician.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Adults: 7.5 mg once daily; may increase to 15 mg daily depending on severity and physician’s recommendation
Elderly or at-risk patients: start with the lowest effective dose
Tablets should be taken with water, preferably with food to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to meloxicam or other NSAIDs.
History of asthma, nasal polyps, angioedema, or urticaria after NSAID use.
Active gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation.
Severe hepatic or renal impairment.
Pregnancy (especially third trimester) and breastfeeding.
Children under 16 years.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or risk of stroke.
Monitor patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs.
Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended during long-term therapy.

Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:

Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, diarrhoea, ulcers.
Cardiovascular: oedema, hypertension, palpitations.
Dermatological: rash, pruritus.
Rare: severe allergic reactions, anaphylaxis.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Contraindicated.
NSAIDs may cause fetal harm (premature closure of ductus arteriosus) and are excreted in breast milk.

Storage Conditions:

Store below 25 °C, in a dry place, protected from light.
Keep out of reach of children.
