Composition:

Each tablet contains:
Amoxicillin trihydrate — 1004.43 mg (equivalent to 875 mg amoxicillin).
Potassium clavulanate — 148.91 mg (equivalent to 125 mg clavulanic acid).

Description:

A broad-spectrum combined antibiotic containing amoxicillin, a semi-synthetic penicillin, and clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Effective against various gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including those resistant to amoxicillin due to beta-lactamase production.

Indications:

Acute bacterial sinusitis.
Acute otitis media.
Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.
Community-acquired pneumonia.
Pyelonephritis.
Skin and soft tissue infections.
Bone and joint infections.

Dosage and administration:

Adults and children weighing ≥ 40 kg:
Standard dose — 875 mg/125 mg twice daily.
For severe infections — 875 mg/125 mg three times daily.
Children under 40 kg — dose is calculated individually, suspension form preferred.
Dose adjustment required in patients with kidney or liver impairment.
Take at the start of meals.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
History of severe allergic reactions to penicillins.
Jaundice or liver dysfunction caused by previous use of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.
Risk of seizures in patients with renal failure or high doses.
Not recommended for infectious mononucleosis.
Possible pseudomembranous colitis, allergic reactions, hepatotoxicity.
Possible false-positive glucose tests and Coombs test.

Side effects:

Common: diarrhea, nausea.
Occasional: skin rash, allergic reactions.
Rare: seizures, liver function impairment, pseudomembranous colitis.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Use only if clearly needed.
Passes into breast milk; may cause diarrhea and candidiasis in infants.
