Each tube contains ketoprofen 2.5% in a gel base.
Product Description:
Fastum gel is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used externally to relieve pain and inflammation.
Indications for Use:
Fastum gel is indicated for the relief of localized pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, strains, tendonitis, and minor trauma.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Fastum gel should be applied externally to the affected area, gently massaged into the skin until absorbed.
The drug must not be used for more than twelve consecutive days.
Contraindications:
Fastum gel must not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to ketoprofen, other NSAIDs, or any component of the formulation.
It should not be applied to broken skin, wounds, or eczema.
Precautions:
Avoid exposure to sunlight during treatment and for two weeks after discontinuation.
Use with caution in patients with a history of photosensitivity or allergic reactions to NSAIDs.
Adverse Reactions:
Possible side effects include local skin reactions such as redness, itching, or rash.
Rarely, systemic allergic reactions may occur.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Fastum gel should only be used during pregnancy or lactation if clearly necessary and prescribed by a physician.
Storage Conditions:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C in a dry place.
