Properties:
Elevit Pronatal is a drug containing 12 essential vitamins, 4 minerals and 3 trace elements. The quantitative content of vitamins and minerals corresponds to the doses recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Indications:
– prevention and treatment of hypovitaminosis, lack of minerals and trace elements at the stage of pregnancy planning, during pregnancy, after childbirth and during breastfeeding.
Dosage and administration:
Women at the stage of pregnancy planning, during pregnancy, after childbirth and during breastfeeding are recommended to take 1 tablet per day with meals with a small amount of water.
The recommended duration of the drug is 1 month before pregnancy (in case of pregnancy planning), throughout the entire period of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Contraindications:
-increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug;
– vitamin A hypervitaminosis;
– vitamin D hypervitaminosis;
– hypercalcemia;
– hypercalciuria;
– severe renal insufficiency;
– violations of iron metabolism;
– disorders of copper metabolism (Wilson’s disease);
– lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption (the product contains lactose).
With caution: liver and kidney disease, urolithiasis.
Precautionary measures:
The drug should be taken in accordance with the recommended doses.
When using other vitamins or multivitamin-mineral complexes, including nutritional supplements and / or fortified foods / drinks containing vitamin D, vitamin A, synthetic isomers of isotretinoin and etretinate or beta-carotene, a doctor’s consultation is necessary, since increased doses of the latter can cause hypervitaminosis vitamins D and A.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions: urticaria, swelling of the face, skin flushing, rash, anaphylactic shock. If allergic reactions occur, stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
From the digestive system: abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.
From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, insomnia, irritability.
Others: hypercalciuria; coloration of urine in a bright yellow color (due to the content of riboflavin in the preparation), staining of feces in black (due to the content of iron in the preparation) – these effects are harmless and have no clinical significance.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
