Composition:
Active ingredient:
Venlafaxine - 150 mg in one prolonged-release capsule (XR - extended release).

Dosage form:
Modified (extended) release capsules that must be swallowed whole.

Pharmacological properties:
Antidepressant, serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI).
Mechanism of action:
Blocks the reuptake of:
Serotonin (5-HT)
Norepinephrine (NA)
Weakly affects the uptake of dopamine
Increases the concentration of these neurotransmitters in the central nervous system, which leads to improved mood, reduced anxiety and other symptoms of depression.

Indications for use:
Major depressive disorder (MDD)
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
Social anxiety disorder (SAD)
Panic disorder

Method of administration and dosage:
Initial dose:
75 mg 1 time per day (usually for mild/moderate depression or anxiety)
Standard therapeutic dose:
150 mg 1 time per day - often prescribed for severe symptoms.
Maximum daily dose:
Up to 225 mg/day, as prescribed by a doctor.
Take once a day, at the same time.
Do not chew the capsule, swallow it whole with water.
Can be taken during or after meals.
