Composition: 

Each film-coated tablet contains Olanzapine 2.5 mg.

Product Description: 

Bioprex is an atypical antipsychotic medication containing olanzapine.
It acts on serotonin and dopamine receptors to help balance neurotransmitter activity in the brain.

Indications for Use: 

Treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
May be used for acute manic or mixed episodes and maintenance therapy.

Method of Administration and Dosage: 

Administered orally.
Dosage is individualized;
typical starting dose ranges from 5–10 mg daily, adjusted by physician.
The 2.5 mg strength allows for dose titration or maintenance in sensitive patients.

Contraindications: 

Hypersensitivity to olanzapine or excipients.
Contraindicated in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma.

Precautions: 

Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment,
Risk of metabolic syndrome, 
Diabetes, or 
Cardiovascular disease. 
Monitor weight, glucose, and lipid levels.

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects): 

Common: weight gain, somnolence, increased appetite, dizziness.
Serious: metabolic changes, tardive dyskinesia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome.

Pregnancy and Lactation: 

Use only if benefits outweigh risks.
Olanzapine passes into breast milk; breastfeeding is not recommended.
