Composition:

Diclofenac epolamine 1.3% (≈180 mg per patch).
Excipients:
Aqueous polymeric gel matrix, propylene glycol, gelatin, kaolin, parabens, titanium dioxide, purified water.

Product Description:

Flector EP Tissugel is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) plaster.
Diclofenac epolamine is a salt form with enhanced solubility, embedded in a hydrogel matrix for gradual release.
This ensures effective tissue penetration, sustained local anti-inflammatory action, and reduced systemic exposure compared to oral NSAIDs.

Indications for Use:

Local treatment of pain and inflammation in sprains, strains, contusions.
Tendonitis, bursitis, tennis/golfer’s elbow.
Osteoarthritis flare-ups.
Musculoskeletal trauma.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Apply one patch twice daily (every 12 hours) to the affected area.
Maximum: 2 patches per day.
Typical duration: 7–14 days, depending on physician’s advice.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, aspirin, or other NSAIDs.
History of asthma, urticaria, or rhinitis triggered by NSAIDs.
Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
Third trimester of pregnancy.
Children under 16 years.

Precautions:

Avoid application on damaged, infected, or eczematous skin.
Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, renal or hepatic impairment, or history of GI ulcers.
Do not use peri-operatively in coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
Exercise caution in patients with active or latent pulmonary tuberculosis.

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):

Local: skin irritation, rash, pruritus.
Systemic (rare): gastrointestinal upset, headache.
Very rare: hypersensitivity reactions, asthma exacerbation, photosensitivity.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Pregnancy: Contraindicated in the third trimester.
Use in the first and second trimesters only if benefits outweigh risks, under medical supervision.
Lactation: Diclofenac passes into breast milk in very small amounts.
Use only if clearly necessary, and avoid application near the breast area.

Storage Conditions:

Store below 30°C in a dry place.
Keep patches sealed until use.

Packaging:

Carton box containing 5 medicated dermal patches (10 cm x 14 cm).
