Description:
Recoxibright is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used to reduce pain and inflammation in various musculoskeletal disorders.
It belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Pharmacological properties:
Etoricoxib selectively blocks the COX-2 enzyme, which is involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins - substances that cause inflammation, pain, and swelling. Unlike traditional NSAIDs, it does not affect COX-1, which reduces the risk of gastrointestinal damage.
It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects.
Indications for use:
Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Back pain
Ankylosing spondylitis
Gouty arthritis (acute attack)
Menstrual pain
Other conditions with significant pain and inflammatory syndrome.
Dosage and administration:
Osteoarthritis: 60 mg once daily
Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: 90 mg once daily
Acute gouty arthritis: up to 120 mg once daily (maximum 8 days)
Tablets are taken orally, with or without food.
Course duration and dose:
As prescribed by a physician.
