Each tablet contains:

Pramipexole dihydrochloride monohydrate 1 mg

(which corresponds to the content of pramipexole 0.7 mg)

Properties:

Antiparkinsonian drug, dopamine receptor agonist. It is believed that the mechanism of action is associated with the ability of pramipexole to stimulate dopamine receptors in the striatum. This is confirmed by the effect on the level of impulsation in striatal neurons due to the activation of dopamine receptors in the striatum and substantia nigra.

It cannot be ruled out that pramipexole inhibits prolactin secretion in humans.

Indications:

Treatment of Parkinson’s disease (in the form of monotherapy and in combination with levodopa).

Dosage and administration:

The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. Compliance of the used dosage form of a particular drug with indications for use and dosing regimen should be strictly observed.

For adults, when taken orally, the initial dose is 375 mcg / day in 3 divided doses. The dose should be increased every 5-7 days until the maximum therapeutic effect is achieved, which is observed when taking 1.5-4.5 mg / day.

It is recommended to stop treatment within 1 week.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to pramipexole.

Breast-feeding.

Precautionary measures:

Use with caution in patients with impaired renal function. In patients with CC less than 15 ml/min experience with pramipexole is insufficient.

The safety and efficacy of pramipexole in children has not been established.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms:

During the treatment period, you should refrain from driving and other potentially hazardous activities.

Side effects:

From the side of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: drowsiness, dyskinesia, hallucinations; in some cases – insomnia. With a rapid decrease in the dose of pramipexole, as well as with abrupt cancellation, the development of NMS is possible.

From the digestive system: nausea, constipation.

Since the cardiovascular system: in some cases, at the beginning of treatment – arterial hypotension (especially with a gradual increase in dose for too short a time).

Other: in some cases – peripheral edema.
