Composition:

Each film coated tablet contains:

Ossein hydroxyapatite 830 mg

Properties:

Ossein-hydroxyapatite complex (OHC) is a microcrystalline form of calcium which provides a number of additional minerals (magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc), and proteins (osteocalcin, type I collagen, type I insulin growth factor I and II, transforming growth factor beta) associated with bone metabolism.

Indications:

Osteoporosis of various origin: primary osteoporosis (pre-, peri-, postmenopausal, senile): secondary osteoporosis (due to: corticoid treatment, heparin treatment, immobilization, rheumatoid arthritis, liver and kidney disease, hyperparathyroidism, osteogenesis imperfecta); 

-early treatment of patients with an increased risk of osteoporosis. 

-the product can also be used to regulate Ca/P balance during the pregnancy and lactation and to support fracture healing.

Dosage and administration:

The physician must decide on the dosage.

Osteoporosis: 2 filmtabs twice daily or as directed by the physician.

Other indications: 1-2 filmtabs daily.

Ossopan 800 should be taken with some liquid.

Side effects:

No side-effects specific to the product are known. Ossopan 800 is very well tolerated even when given for prolonged periods of time.

Contraindications:

-Hypercalcemia and severe hypercalciuria; in patients with a predisposition to urinary concrements

Warnings and precautions:

• Interactions:

The absorption of iron and tetracyclines is reduced when Ossopan 800 is administered concomitantly since chelates are formed that are absorbed with difficulty. in such cases it is advisable to administer Ossopan function, prolonged administration of high doses800 about 4 hours later.

• Ossopan 800 contains only traces of Sodium chloride and is therefore

suitable even for prolonged use in hypertensive patients

• Use in pregnancy has not provided evidence of any damage to the fetus.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C
