Composition
Each tablet contains:  Oxcarbazepine — 300 mg

Pharmacological properties
Oxcarbazepine is a derivative of carbamazepine, which has an anticonvulsant effect:

1. Mechanism of action
• Blocks sodium channels of neurons
• Stabilizes membranes of excitable nerve cells
• Suppresses the spread of pathological neuronal activity
2. Advantages compared to carbamazepine
• Fewer side effects
• Better tolerated by patients
• Minimal induction of liver enzymes

Indications for use
• Treatment of partial seizures
• Treatment of bipolar disorder
• Treatment of diabetic neuropathy
• Treatment of neuralgia/neuropathy.

Method of administration and dosage
Initial dose for adults:
— Usually 300 mg 2 times a day
Maintenance dose:
— 600–2400 mg/day, divided into 2 doses
For children, the dose is calculated based on body weight
The tablets should be swallowed whole with water
The dosage is selected individually by the doctor.
