Description:

This oil is extracted from the marjoram plant, the international name “majorana origanum”, which is native to the southeastern region of the Mediterranean. It is used as a spice in the preparation of various dishes.

Properties:

Marjoram oil is characterized by a high content of nutrients that give it medicinal properties. Known since ancient Egypt in the treatment of itchy skin, as an expectorant, in the treatment of stomach cramps, colic, bloating, as well as increased nervous excitability.

Composition:

It contains a large number of ingredients, such as sabinene, sabinene hydrate, rosmarinic acid, triglyceride. It also contains the anti-inflammatory substance E-beta-caryophyllene, flavonoids, hydroquinone glycosides.

Indications:

• Relieves anxiety, improves sleep
• Improves digestion, relieves stomach cramps and colic, stimulates the production of gastric juice.
• Reduces cholesterol, prevents diabetes, helps in the treatment of gout, fights cancer cells.

• Helps in the treatment of asthma, relieves the symptoms of colds and runny nose
• Relieves pain of nervous etiology, muscle spasms and joint pain.

Precautionary measures:

• Do not use it during pregnancy as marjoram oil stimulates the menstrual cycle.
• Do not use it while breastfeeding
• Not recommended for children and infants

Directions for use:

• For internal use:

– It is recommended to take 1 teaspoon in the morning and in the evening for asthma, coughs and to lower cholesterol

– To relieve nervous tension and improve sleep, take 1 teaspoon at night

• For external use:

– For neuritis and muscle spasms, massage with oil twice a day.
