Composition:

Each tablet contains:

Calcium carbonate – 420mg.

Glycine – 180mg.

Dimethicone – 10mg.

Properties:

It combines the most effective, fast and powerful non-systemic antacid with long-term high neutralizing power (calcium carbonate) together with glycine, a buffering amino acid that modifies the action of calcium carbonate towards more controlled neutralization. Glycine supplements protein intake to help heal any type of wound. Dimethicone is used in the treatment of flatulence and to remove gases, air from the gastrointestinal tract.

Neutralization of gastric contents includes the formation of calcium chloride, in which part of the calcium is absorbed from the intestine and about 80% is converted into insoluble calcium carbonate, which is excreted in the feces.

Indications:

For the treatment of flatulence, heartburn, acidity and bloating.

Mode of application:

1-2 tablets should be chewed after or between

meals and repeated as needed every 4-6 hours or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Contraindications:

Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism.

Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis.

Concomitant therapy with digoxin (requires careful monitoring of serum calcium levels).

Precautions.

Breastfeeding: The use of calcium carbonate in lactating women is contraindicated.

Pregnancy: Calcium preparations are widely used during pregnancy by oral calcium supplementation or antacid therapy.

Side effects:

Constipation, hypercalcemia, lactic-alkaline syndrome and sour belching.

Drug interaction:

Digoxin: Calcium carbonate and other calci salts may enhance the cardiac effects of digoxin and other cardiac glycosides if systemic hypercalcemia occurs. Tetracyclines:

Calcium carbonate and other antacids may interfere with the absorption of tetracycline drugs.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C in a dry, dark place and out of reach of children.
