Fusidic acid 20 mg.

Description

Fucidel is a topical antibiotic cream containing fusidic acid, a potent agent derived from the fungus Fusidium coccineum. It is used for treating skin infections due to its strong antibacterial properties, especially against gram-positive bacteria, including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus strains. Its unique ability to penetrate deeply into the site of infection, even through intact skin, enhances its therapeutic effectiveness.

Penetrates effectively to infection sites, even when applied to intact skin

Well tolerated with a very low rate of hypersensitivity reactions

Indications for Use

Fucidel Cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by Staphylococci, Streptococci, and other fusidic acid-sensitive organisms, including:

Boils and carbuncles

Infected wounds

Diabetic wound infections

Directions for Use

Apply a thin layer of Fucidel Cream to the affected area 1–2 times daily

Duration of treatment is typically 7 days or as directed by a physician

Precautions:

This pharmaceutical form is not for application on the eye.

The duration of treatment must be limited due to risk of developing resistant organisms & superinfection.

Side Effect:

1) Fucidel cream is remarkably well tolerated, and there is an extremely low frequency of hypersensitivity reactions.

2) Possibility of allergic eczema which may be disseminated at a distance from treated zone.
