Composition:
Cerebrolysin concentrate (peptide complex) — 215.2 mg (per 1 ml solution).
Product Description:
Cerebrolysin is a nootropic peptide preparation containing low‑molecular biologically active neuropeptides.
These peptides cross the blood–brain barrier and act directly on nerve cells.
The drug has organ‑specific multimodal effects on the brain: it regulates metabolism, protects neurons, provides neurotrophic activity, and improves cognitive functions.
Indications for use:
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Dementia syndrome of various origins.
- Chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency.
- Ischemic stroke.
- Traumatic injuries of the brain and spinal cord.
- Mental developmental delay in children.
- Attention disorders in children.
- Endogenous depression resistant to antidepressants (as part of combination therapy).
Method of administration and dosage:
The drug is administered parenterally.
Dosage and duration depend on the nature and severity of the disease, as well as the patient’s age.
Intramuscular injections — up to 5 ml;
Intravenous injections — up to 10 ml;
Intravenous infusions — 10 to 50 ml (slowly, after dilution with standard infusion solutions, duration 15–60 minutes).
Recommended course: daily injections for 10–20 days.
Contraindications:
- Severe renal insufficiency
- Status epilepticus
- Hypersensitivity to the drug
Precautions:
Rapid administration may cause sensations of heat, sweating, dizziness.
The drug should be administered slowly.
Clinical studies have shown no effect on the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.
Side effects:
- Immune system: very rare — allergic reactions.
- Psychiatric: rare — agitation, aggressive behavior, confusion, insomnia.
