Telmisartan Tarutareg Tablets 80 mg 

Description:

It is used to treat high blood pressure under the supervision of a doctor and also reduces the risk of heart disease

High blood pressure antagonists – angiotensin receptor antagonists for the treatment of blood pressure.

Indications:

Hypertension

Reducing risk of cardiovascular disease

Used for:

It is used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs in the treatment of essential hypertension. Reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease in patients  55 years of age who are unable to take angiotensin-neutralizing enzyme inhibitors, who are at high risk of cardiovascular injury (eg, myocardial infarction, stroke, death).

Reduced risk of heart attack (cardiac infarction), stroke or death from cardiovascular disease in patients 55 years of age or older who show a susceptibility to cardiovascular disease and who cannot take angiotensin conversion enzyme inhibitors

Dosage:

Timing: Take on an empty stomach an hour before eating.

Adults:

Adult dosage for hypertension

Initial dose: Maintenance dose (dose to be reached and maintained): between 40 and 80 mg once daily

The effect of lowering high blood pressure caused by the drug begins two weeks after the beginning of the drug and the effective effect reaches its peak after 4 weeks

In patients who have a decrease in fluid intake in their bodies, the initial dose should be reduced and blood pressure should be monitored and its response to the dose given.

Precautions:

Low blood pressure / slow heartbeat

Severe hypotension can occur; slow heartbeat and angina can accompany increased blood pressure. 

Postural hypotension can also occur. 

It is used with caution in blood volume depletion and moderate hypotension

It is used with extreme caution with myocardial infarction and suspected right ventricular infarction. 

Increased potassium level: Blood pressure, renal function and the amount of potassium in the blood (this medicine may cause increased potassium levels in some patients) should be monitored regularly when taking this medicine. 

Decreased renal function: This medicine may cause decreased renal function and/or an increase in serum creatinine, especially in patients with reduced renal blood flow (renal artery stenosis, heart failure). 

Use with Caution in the following cases: 

Aortic / mitral stenosis : used with caution in patients with pronounced stenosis of the aorta/mitral valve. heart failure; 

Impaired liver function Hypovolemia Renal artery stenosis Renal failure

Pregnancy: should be avoided, there are not enough studies on its use. 

Lactation: It is not known if it is excreted in breast milk, it should be avoided.

Children under 18 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug pregnancy Breastfeeding Fructose intolerance (this product contains sorbitol).

Children under the age of one year may affect kidney growth

Side Effect:

Back pain, Sinusitis, Diarrhea, Intermittent claudication, Skin ulcers, Indigestion, Nausea, Abdominal pain, low blood pressure, palpitation

Upper respiratory tract infection: such as sore throat and sinusitis, Cough, Bronchitis

Storage:

Store at a temperature between 15 – 30 ° C, out of moisture and out of the reach of children.
