Andovimpamide 100 mg 30 tablets

Composition (per 1 tablet):

• Lacosamide — 100 mg.

Andovimpamide 100 mg is an antiepileptic drug containing lacosamide. It is used for the treatment of partial (focal) seizures, both as monotherapy and as part of combination therapy. It has good tolerability and can be used in adults and adolescents.

Pharmacological properties:

• Class: antiepileptic drugs (anticonvulsants)
• Mechanism of action: modulates the slow inactivation of neuronal sodium channels, stabilizing hyperexcitable membranes and reducing the likelihood of epileptic activity
• Pharmacokinetics: well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, bioavailability ~100%, metabolized in the liver, excreted primarily by the kidneys.

Indications for use:

• Partial (focal) seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and children ≥4 years:

  • As monotherapy

  • As part of combination therapy in refractory epilepsy.

Dosage and administration:

• Adults and adolescents ≥17 years:

  • Initial dose: 50 mg twice daily

  • Maintenance dose: 100–200 mg twice daily (max. 400 mg/day).

• Children 4–16 years: dosage is calculated based on body weight and determined by a physician.
• Tablets should be taken orally, with or without food, with water.
• Do not abruptly discontinue the drug — taper the dose gradually to avoid seizure exacerbation.
