Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Rosuvastatin — 40 mg;
Ezetimibe — 10 mg.
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, povidone K30, poloxamer 407, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium croscarmellose, magnesium stearate
Product Description:
Zirovazet is a lipid‑lowering medicine combining rosuvastatin and ezetimibe.
It is used in adults to reduce total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, while increasing HDL cholesterol.
It works through a dual mechanism: rosuvastatin inhibits cholesterol synthesis in the liver, and ezetimibe blocks cholesterol absorption in the intestine.
Indications for Use:
- As adjunct to diet for reduction of elevated total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol.
- As adjunct to diet for patients with elevated triglycerides.
- In patients with cardiovascular disease, to reduce LDL cholesterol to < 100 mg/dL.
- Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
- Take as directed by a physician.
- Recommended dose: 1 tablet daily, with or without food.
- Dose is individualized depending on treatment goals and patient response.
- No dose adjustment required in renal impairment.
- Not recommended in patients with hepatic dysfunction.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or ezetimibe.
Severe liver disease.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions:
- Use with caution when co‑administered with erythromycin (may increase plasma rosuvastatin levels).
- Caution in patients with liver disease or alcohol abuse.
- Discontinue temporarily if polymyositis symptoms or rhabdomyolysis occur.
- Use cautiously with drugs affecting steroid hormone levels (ketoconazole, spironolactone, cimetidine).
- Do not use in patients with hereditary lactose intolerance.
- Women of childbearing potential should use only when pregnancy is excluded and risks are understood.
Adverse Effects:
- Upper respiratory tract infections.
- Headache, stress.
- Muscle and back pain.
- Sinusitis.
- Diarrhea, abdominal pain.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Contraindicated.
Not to be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Storage Conditions:
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C, in a dry place, out of reach of children.

Cardboard box containing 3 blisters of 10 film‑coated tablets, with patient information leaflet.
