Compound:

Tetrizoline hydrochloride 0.05%

Zinc sulfate 0.25%

Auxiliary components:

boric acid, sodium chloride, disodium edetate dihydrate, benzalkonium chloride solution 50%, purified water.

Properties:

Tetrizoline is a sympathomimetic drug that stimulates α-adrenergic receptors of the sympathetic nervous system, but has no or little effect on β-adrenergic receptors. Being a sympathomimetic amine, tetrizoline has a vasoconstrictive effect and reduces tissue edema.

Zinc sulfate has an antimicrobial, astringent, drying and local anti-inflammatory effect.

Indications:

For temporary relief of discomfort and redness of the eyes with minor eye irritation. Relieves itching, burning, lacrimation due to pollen, dust, ragweed

Dosage and administration:

The drug is applied topically.

Adults and children over 6 years of age are prescribed 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye up to 4 times / day.

For children under 6 years of age, use after consulting a doctor.

Contraindications:

– angle-closure glaucoma;

– endothelial-epithelial dystrophy of the cornea;

– children’s age up to 2 years;

– Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

With caution, the drug is prescribed to patients with severe cardiovascular diseases (CHD, arterial hypertension), pheochromocytoma, prostatic hyperplasia, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, porphyria, dry rhinitis, dry keratoconjunctivitis, glaucoma and in patients receiving MAO inhibitors or other drugs that can raise BP.

Precautionary measures:

It is necessary to avoid direct contact of the drug with soft contact lenses due to a possible violation of their transparency.

Side effects:

On the part of the organs of vision: the frequency is unknown – increased lacrimation, pupil dilation.

General disorders and disorders at the injection site: the frequency is unknown – reactions at the injection site (including a burning sensation in the eye area, redness, irritation, swelling, pain, itching).

Storage method:

Store at a temperature of 15 to 25 degrees.

The contents of an opened vial should be used within 4 weeks.
