Trillerg eye drops 10 ml
Compound:
Each 1 ml of solution contains:
Antazolin hydrochloride 0.5 mg.
Tetrizoline hydrochloride 0.4 mg.
Benzalkonium chloride 0.05 mg as a preservative.
Properties:
- Combined antiallergic drug for topical use in ophthalmology, containing a blocker of histamine H1 receptors and an alpha-agonist.
- Antazolin is a selective blocker of histamine H1 receptors, a representative of the group of ethylenediamines.
- When used systemically, histamine H1 receptor blockers from the ethylenediamine group, despite a slight effect on the central nervous system, can have a moderate sedative effect, as well as cause gastric disorders and skin sensitization.
- By competitively blocking histamine H1 receptors, antazoline reduces histamine-induced spasms of smooth muscles, increased permeability, and dilated capillaries.
- Histamine H1 receptor blockers effectively eliminate itching, but slightly reduce the severity of hyperemia.
- Tetrizoline is a sympathomimetic.
- By stimulating α-adrenergic receptors, it causes constriction of peripheral vessels, reduces hyperemia and swelling of the conjunctiva in patients with allergic conjunctivitis.
- It was shown that a positive clinical effect develops 1-5 minutes after instillation of tetrizoline, persists for an average of 1-4 hours (up to a maximum of 8 hours).
Indications:
Allergic diseases of the conjunctiva:
to reduce the severity of symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, eliminate hyperemia and edema of the conjunctiva of the eye, itching in adults and children over 2 years old.
Dosage and administration:
- For adults and adolescents, the drug should be instilled into the conjunctival sac, 1 drop 2-3 times a day for no more than 14 days.
- Special clinical studies on the use of Trillerg drops in children over 2 years of age have not been conducted.
- Since the drug can have a systemic effect, children over 2 years old should not be instilled more than 1-2 drops 1 time / day.
- Thrillerg should not be used for more than 14 days, because. with prolonged use of the drug, toxic follicular conjunctivitis and reactive hyperemia of the conjunctiva can be observed.
- Pressing the lower lacrimal opening or closing the eyes for 3 minutes after instillation into the conjunctival sac reduces the entry of drops into the systemic circulation, which contributes to a more effective local action of the drug and a decrease in the incidence of systemic side effects.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
simultaneous use with MAO inhibitors.
Precautionary measures:
The drug is used only after removing contact lenses.
Contact lenses should be installed no earlier than 15 minutes after instillation.
The eye drops contain benzalkonium chloride as a preservative, which can cause eye irritation and discolour soft contact lenses.
