Composition:
100 ml syrup contains:
Piracetam — 20 mg.
Excipients: methylparaben, propylparaben, sorbitol, glycerin, sodium acetate, sodium saccharin, propylene glycol, cherry flavor, purified water.
Product Description:
- Stimulan is a nootropic agent containing piracetam.
- It improves metabolic processes in the brain, increases ATP concentration, enhances biosynthesis of RNA and phospholipids, stimulates glycolysis and glucose utilization.
- It improves memory, learning, integrative brain activity, microcirculation without vasodilatory effect, and reduces platelet aggregation.
- It has neuroprotective action in hypoxia, intoxications, and trauma.
- It does not cause sedative or psychostimulant effects.
Indications for Use:
- Memory impairment, reduced concentration, emotional instability.
- Dementia due to cerebrovascular disorders, trauma, Alzheimer’s disease.
- Comatose states of vascular, traumatic, or toxic origin.
- Withdrawal syndrome and psychoorganic syndrome in chronic alcoholism.
- Learning disabilities in children (as part of combination therapy).
- Sickle cell anemia (as part of combination therapy).
Method of Administration and Dosage:
The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the physician.
Strict adherence to the prescribed dosage and form is required.
Contraindications:
- Renal failure (creatinine clearance < 20 ml/min).
- Hemorrhagic stroke (acute stage).
- Agitated depression.
- Huntington’s chorea.
- Pregnancy and lactation.
- Children under 1 year of age.
- Hypersensitivity to components.
Precautions:
- In acute brain damage, use in combination with detoxification and restorative therapy.
- In psychotic states, use together with psychotropic agents.
- Monitor kidney and liver function.
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation in cortical myoclonus.
- If sleep disturbances occur, discontinue evening dose.
- Use with caution in patients with coagulation disorders, after major surgery, or severe bleeding.
Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:
- Nervousness, agitation, irritability, insomnia.
- Dyspepsia: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, anorexia.
- Headache, dizziness, seizures, tremor.
- Increased sexual activity.
- Rare: weakness, drowsiness.
- In elderly patients: increased frequency of angina attacks.
- In children with intellectual disability: anxiety, hyperactivity, reduced concentration, irritability.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
