Panadol Sinus Relief PE 500 mg/5 mg 24 tablets
Composition:
Each tablet contains paracetamol 500 mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg.
Product Description:
Panadol Sinus Relief PE is formulated to relieve sinus pain, nasal congestion, and headache.
Paracetamol reduces pain and fever, while phenylephrine acts as a sympathomimetic decongestant to shrink swollen nasal passages. It is marketed as non-drowsy.
Indications for Use:
It provides temporary relief of sinus congestion and pain, nasal congestion and runny nose, as well as headache, fever, and body aches associated with sinusitis or colds.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Adults and children aged 12 years and above may take one to two tablets every four to six hours as needed.
The maximum dose is eight tablets in 24 hours.
It is not recommended for children under 12 years.
Contraindications:
It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol or phenylephrine, severe hypertension or coronary artery disease, those who have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the past 14 days, or in cases of severe renal impairment.
Precautions:
Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disease, arrhythmia, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostatic enlargement.
It should not be combined with other paracetamol-containing products.
Patients with sepsis or glutathione deficiency should be monitored for metabolic acidosis when using paracetamol.
Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, headache, insomnia, and nervousness.
Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or pruritus may occur.
Very rarely, hypertensive crisis can develop if combined with MAOIs.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
During pregnancy, Panadol Sinus Relief PE should be used only if clearly necessary.
While paracetamol is generally considered safe, phenylephrine may reduce uterine blood flow and therefore requires caution.
In lactation, paracetamol is excreted into breast milk in small amounts and is regarded as safe, but the safety of phenylephrine during breastfeeding is less established.
For this reason, medical consultation is advised before use.

Store below 30°C in a dry place and keep out of reach of children.
