Composition:
Each film coated tablet:
Active ingredient:
Mosapride citrate 2.5 mg.
Inactive ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, povidone, colloidal silicon dioxide, Talc uritied), crosscarmellose sodium.
Product description:
Upper GI prokinetic agent; selective 5-HT4 receptor agonist that stimulates upper gastrointestinal motility.
Film-coated oral tablet intended for symptomatic relief of motility-related GI disorders.
Indications for use:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and other upper GI motility disorders as clinically indicated.
Method of administration and dosage:
Oral.
Take before meals.
Duration and adjustments depend on response and tolerability.
Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to mosapride or excipients.
Use cautiously or avoid in patients with GI hemorrhage, obstruction, or perforation where enhanced motility is undesirable.
Precautions:
Caution in severe hepatic impairment; monitor if used long term.
Evaluate for underlying mechanical obstruction before use.
Review concomitant drugs that affect GI motility.
Safety in children not well established; use only if clearly indicated.
Adverse reactions (side effects):
Common: abdominal pain/discomfort, diarrhea, nausea.
