Compound:

Each p/o tablet contains:

Atorvastatin – 20 mg.

Auxiliary components: mannitol, calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, alpha-tocopherol acetate, magnesium stearate, polysorbate, titanium dioxide, talc, polyethylene glycol.

Properties:

Atorvastatin is a third-generation lipid-lowering drug from the statin group. Reduces the level of “bad” cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing the level of “good” cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein or HDL).

Indications:

Treating high cholesterol and reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.

Mode of application:

Lipinorm tablets are taken orally 1 time per day as a single dose at any time of the day, regardless of food intake. The recommended starting dose is usually 10 mg/day. Patients who require a greater reduction in LDL-C (greater than 45%) may start at higher doses, such as 20 mg or 40 mg once daily. The maintenance dose varies from 10 to 80 mg / day, is selected by the doctor individually, depending on the level of hypercholesterolemia, the goal of therapy and the degree of response.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug; cases of active liver disease; pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautionary measures:

An attempt should be made to control the development of hypercholesterolemia with appropriate diet, exercise, and weight loss in obese patients, as well as treat other associated health problems, before initiating atorvastatin therapy. Liver function tests should be performed prior to initiation of atorvastatin therapy and periodically thereafter. Side effects:
