Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains Levofloxacin 500 mg.

Product Description:

Broad-spectrum antibacterial agent.
Levofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing DNA replication and repair.
Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Indications for Use:

Used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including:
Pneumonia, 
Acute bacterial sinusitis, 
Urinary tract infections, 
Prostatitis, skin and soft tissue infections, 
Gastrointestinal infections (e.g., salmonella),
And drug-resistant tuberculosis.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Oral administration.
Typical adult dose: 500 mg once daily.
Duration depends on infection type:
Acute bacterial sinusitis: 500-750 mg once daily for 5-7 days.
Urinary tract infections: 500 mg once daily for 7-10 days.
Pneumonia: 500 mg once daily for 7-14 days.
Salmonella: 500 mg once daily for 3-14 days.
Dosage must be adjusted in renal impairment.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other quinolones, or excipients.
Contraindicated in patients with epilepsy, history of tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolone use, and children/adolescents (due to risk of cartilage damage.

Precautions:

Use with caution in elderly patients, those with renal impairment, or those taking corticosteroids (risk of tendon rupture).
Avoid excessive sun exposure (photosensitivity risk).
May cause QT prolongation;
Caution in patients with cardiac conditions.
