Each Lezberg-Amlo 5/40 tablet contains:
Amlodipine - 5 mg
Olmesartan medoxomil - 40 mg
Pharmacological properties
1. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker:
Expands blood vessels.
Lowers blood pressure.
Improves blood supply to the heart, reducing the load on it.
2. Olmesartan medoxomil is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (ARB):
Blocks the action of angiotensin II, which causes vasoconstriction.
Lowers total vascular resistance and blood pressure.
The combination of these substances provides more effective control of blood pressure than each component separately.
Indications for use
• Treatment of arterial hypertension in adult patients who require combination therapy.
Method of administration and dosage
Usually taken once a day, regardless of food intake.
The tablet should be washed down with water, without chewing.
Standard dose: 1 tablet per day (Lezberg-Amlo 5/40), unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor.
The dosage is selected individually by the doctor based on the clinical condition of the patient.
