Composition: 

Each 2 ml ampoule contains Furosemide 20 mg. 

Product Description: 

Lasix is a potent loop diuretic preparation used to treat fluid retention and edema associated with heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease.
It is supplied as a solution for slow intramuscular and intravenous injection. 

Indications for Use: 

Lasix is indicated for the treatment of edema due to congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, renal disease including nephrotic syndrome, and for the management of hypertension. 

Method of Administration and Dosage: 

The preparation is administered by slow I.V. or I.M. injection.
Dosage depends on the patient’s condition, severity of edema, and physician’s prescription. 

Contraindications: 

Lasix must not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to furosemide or sulfonamides, in those with anuria, or severe electrolyte depletion. 

Precautions: 

Caution is advised in patients with diabetes, gout, hypotension, or impaired renal function.
Monitoring of electrolytes and kidney function is recommended during therapy. 

Adverse Reactions: 

Possible side effects include dehydration, electrolyte imbalance (hypokalemia, hyponatremia), hypotension, dizziness, and increased urination.
Rarely, hearing impairment may occur with high doses. 

Pregnancy and Lactation: 

Lasix should only be used during pregnancy or lactation if clearly necessary and prescribed by a physician. 

Storage Conditions: 

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light.
Keep out of reach of children. 

Packaging: 

Supplied in a box containing three ampoules of 2 ml solution, each with 20 mg furosemide.
