Composition:

Each tablet contains:
Perindopril arginine 10 mg.
Indapamide 2.5 mg.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, sodium glycodal, glycerol, hypromellose, macrogol, titanium dioxide.

Product Description:

Coverseal Plus is a combined antihypertensive agent that enhances the effect of each component.
Indapamide: a sulfonamide derivative with properties similar to thiazide diuretics. It inhibits sodium reabsorption in the cortical segment of the loop of Henle, increasing excretion of sodium, chloride, and to a lesser extent potassium and magnesium, thereby enhancing diuresis and lowering blood pressure.
Perindopril: an ACE inhibitor that blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, reduces aldosterone secretion, increases plasma renin activity, and decreases total peripheral resistance. It improves myocardial function by reducing preload and afterload.

Indications for Use:

Essential hypertension.
Hypertension in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to reduce the risk of microvascular (renal) and macrovascular (cardiovascular) complications.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Oral administration.
1 tablet daily, preferably in the morning before meals.
In elderly patients, use only with normal renal function and monitor blood pressure reduction.

Contraindications:

• Indapamide:
  Hypersensitivity to indapamide or sulfonamides.
  Severe renal impairment (CrCl < 30 ml/min).
  Hepatic encephalopathy, severe hepatic impairment.
  Hypokalemia.
  Concomitant use with non‑antiarrhythmic drugs that may cause torsades de pointes.
  Lactation, age under 18 years.
• Perindopril:
  Hypersensitivity to ACE inhibitors.
  Angioedema (including hereditary/idiopathic).
  Pregnancy, lactation.
  Concomitant use with angiotensin II receptor antagonists in diabetic nephropathy.
  Concomitant use with valsartan + sacubitril.
  Extracorporeal therapy with negatively charged surfaces.
  Bilateral renal artery stenosis or stenosis of a solitary kidney.
  Age under 18 years.

Precautions:

Combination therapy may increase risk of idiosyncratic reactions; careful monitoring is required.
Does not significantly reduce adverse effects compared to individual components, except for hypokalemia.

Adverse Effects:

Perindopril: dizziness, headache, paresthesia, dysgeusia, visual disturbances, vertigo, tinnitus, hypotension, cough, dyspnea, abdominal pain, constipation, dyspepsia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, pruritus, rash, muscle cramps, asthenia.
Indapamide: hypersensitivity reactions, mainly cutaneous, in predisposed patients; maculopapular rash.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Contraindicated.

Storage Conditions:

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C.
