Form of Release: Tablets

Concor Amlo 5/5 mg 30 tablets

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

bisoprolol fumarate 5 mg

amlodipine besylate 5 mg

Auxiliary components:

microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide.

Properties:

Amlodipine blocks calcium channels, reduces the transmembrane transition of calcium ions into the cell (to a greater extent in vascular smooth muscle cells than in cardiomyocytes).

The antihypertensive effect of amlodipine is due to a direct relaxing effect on vascular smooth muscle cells, which leads to a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance.

Bisoprolol is a selective beta1-blocker, without its own sympathomimetic activity, does not have a membrane stabilizing effect.

It has only a slight affinity for β2-adrenergic receptors of smooth muscles of the bronchi and blood vessels, as well as for β2-adrenergic receptors involved in the regulation of metabolism. Consequently, bisoprolol in general does not affect airway resistance and metabolic processes in which β2-adrenergic receptors are involved.

The selective effect of the drug on β1-adrenergic receptors remains outside the therapeutic range.

Indications:

Arterial hypertension: replacement of therapy with monocomponent drugs amlodipine and bisoprolol in the same doses.

Method of administration and dosage:

Oral tablets. The tablets should be taken in the morning, regardless of food intake, without chewing. The risk is only intended to facilitate breaking for ease of swallowing. Not to be divided into equal doses!

The recommended daily dose is 1 tablet of a certain dosage per day.

The selection and titration of the dose individually for each patient is carried out by the doctor in the course of prescribing monocomponent preparations containing the active substances that make up Concor Amlo.

Contraindications:

– hypersensitivity to amlodipine, other dihydropyridine derivatives, bisoprolol and / or any of the excipients;

– children under 18 years of age (efficacy and safety have not been established).

Precautionary measures:

Do not interrupt treatment with Concor Amlo abruptly and do not change the recommended dose without first consulting your doctor, because this can lead to a temporary deterioration in the activity of the heart. Treatment should not be interrupted abruptly, especially in patients with coronary artery disease. If discontinuation of treatment is necessary, the dose should be reduced gradually.
