Co-Tareg is a combination antihypertensive drug used to treat arterial hypertension. Contains two active substances that provide a dual mechanism for controlling blood pressure.

Composition:

• Valsartan — 320 mg
• Hydrochlorothiazide — 25 mg

Pharmacological properties:

Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (AT1 receptor blocker).
• Reduces vascular resistance
• Does not cause sodium and water retention
• Does not directly affect renin or aldosterone levels
Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic.
• Increases sodium and water excretion
• Reduces circulating blood volume and blood pressure
• Potentiates the antihypertensive effect of valsartan

Indications for use:

• Arterial hypertension (if monotherapy does not provide adequate blood pressure control)
• Patients requiring a combination of an angiotensin II receptor blocker and a diuretic

Method of administration and dosage:

• Usually: 1 tablet once a day
• Take regardless of food intake, with water
• Dose adjustment is individual and is carried out under the supervision of a physician
• Not recommended without a prescription for severe renal or hepatic dysfunction
