Composition:

Each p/ o tablet contains:

Valsartan – 160mg.

Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg

Auxiliary components: colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol 8000, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), red iron oxide (El 72), yellow iron oxide (E172).

Properties:

Combined antihypertensive drug, which includes an angiotensin Il receptor blocker and a thiazide diuretic.

Indications:

Arterial hypertension (for patients for whom combination therapy is indicated).

Mode of application:

The initial dose is 80 / 12.5 mg 1 time / day. With insufficient effectiveness, you can use 160 / 12.5 mg. In the absence of adequate control of blood pressure, the dose of the combination may be gradually increased. T maximum daily dose is 320 / 12.5 mg or

320/25 mg. The maximum reduction in blood pressure is usually achieved within 2-4 weeks of therapy. However, some patients may take 4 to 8 weeks.

Contraindications:

Children under the age of 18; hypersensitivity to valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide, other sulfonamide derivatives, or any of the substances. Severe renal and liver dysfunctions, biliary cirrhosis, cholestasis, anuria. Pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions:

Before starting to use the drug, it is necessary to adjust the content of potassium and magnesium in the blood, care should be taken and regular monitoring should be carried out. Thiazide diuretics should be used with caution in patients with nephropathy and cardiogenic renal impairment. In the event of clinical manifestations of muscle weakness, changes in ECG indicators, treatment with this combination should be discontinued. Regular monitoring of plasma sodium content is required.

Headache, dizziness, fainting, sleep disturbance, depression, decreased visual acuity, tinnitus, vertigo, marked decrease in blood pressure, arrhythmias, vasculitis, cough, pulmonary edema, decreased appetite, constipation, pancreatitis, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, myalgia, increased fatigue, decreased hemoglobin, hemolytic anemia, hypersensitivity / allergic reactions, skin rash, pruritus, dermatitis, worsening of diabetes mellitus, impotence.
