Description:

Cardilol is effective tablets for heart patients. Carvedilol is a non-selective beta and alpha receptor blocker, which lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, reduces the heart’s pumping power and the amount of blood pumping, and makes the heartbeat slower and makes it more regular.

Carvedillol is used in cases of heart failure and high blood pressure, and is also used after a heart attack that causes reduced pumping from the heart.

Ingredients:

Oral tablets with a concentration of 25 mg of the active ingredient carvedilol per tablet.

Properties:

Carvedilol: It is an active substance belonging to the class of drugs known as beta-blockers that close beta receptors, which contributes to relaxing blood vessels, in addition to slowing the heartbeat, so that it is easier for the heart to pump blood through the various vessels and thus lower blood pressure.

Indications:

This medicine is used for each of the following conditions:

-High blood pressure as it helps to lower high pressure.

-Treatment of some cases of heart failure.

-Treatment of some heart attacks.

-Relief of left ventricular weakness.

Dosage:

The doctor determines the dose according to the patient’s condition, and from the usual doses:

-Heart failure: The initial dose is 3.125 mg twice daily for two weeks, then increased to 6.25 mg and 25 mg twice daily over a two-week period.

-For left ventricular dysfunction: The initial dose is 6.25 mg twice weekly for 3 to 10 days, and the supplementation dose is 25 mg twice daily.

-For hypertension: The initial dose is 6.25 mg twice weekly for 7 to 14 days, and may be increased to 6.25 mg and 25 mg twice daily.

-Hypertension: 12.5mg once daily for 2 days increasing to 25mg once daily thereafter

Angina pectoris: 12.5mg twice daily for 2 days increasing to 25mg twice daily thereafter

How to use:

The tablets are swallowed whole, according to the dose prescribed by the doctor.

It is preferable to take the dose with food for the best effectiveness.

It is advisable to take the dose at the same time daily.

If used to lower high blood pressure, blood pressure should be measured regularly and closely monitored.

Abrupt cessation of this drug is recommended only after consulting a doctor.

Side effects:

Taking a cardilol may cause some unwanted symptoms, including:

-Weakness or asthenia.

-Vertigo or dizziness.

-Dry eyes.

-Diarrhea.

-Overweight.

Discontinue use of cardilol and consult a physician as soon as possible if any severe or unknown side effects appear, or if signs of sensitivity to any of its components including swelling of the face or tongue, difficulty breathing and severe skin itching.

Also:

-Upper respiratory tract or urinary tract infections

-Increased sweating, fatigue, chest pain, edema, fever, hypotension, weight gain or back pain

Contraindications:

-Cardilol treatment is contraindicated in cases of:

-Anaphylaxis to the active substance or any of the components of this drug.

-Asthma attacks.

-Bronchitis.

-Severe hepatopathy.

-Decreased heart rate.

Caution should be exercised when using this medicine and consult a doctor before taking it in cases of:

-Diabetes.

-Angina.

-Diseases of the liver or kidneys.

-Impaired thyroid function.

-Adrenal tumor.

-Circulatory problems.

Cardilol 25 and lactation:

The exact effect of the cardilol tablet during lactation is not known, so it is not recommended to take it until after consulting a doctor to determine the appropriate procedure according to each case, ensuring the safety of infants.
